Remodeling Your Business? Make Your Lobby A Tranquil Place For Your Clients

Blog

If you have hired a contractor to remodel your business, you should take time to make sure everything is set up correctly. One thing you have to consider is the lobby. This is the first thing your clients will see when they walk through your door. Below is some information about setting up your lobby so that it is a nice and peaceful place for your clients to sit and wait for their appointments.

Freshwater Fish Aquariums

Sitting close to fish aquariums allows your customers to watch colorful fish swimming around the tank, as well as hear the relaxing sounds of bubbling water. Choose natural colored gravel, which is much more appealing than a bright color, such as hot pink. Use live plants as they look more natural. Choose plants that vary in color and height. You also have to choose decorations.  Other decoration items that work well include driftwood, rocks, coconut halves, and shells, because they also look natural.

Ask the contractor to build a few aquariums in the wall in your lobby so they do not take up any space.  When installing the fish tank, they will apply the trim so you can flip it up either using Velcro or invisible hinges to allow you to clean the tank.

Color

Hire a painting contractor to paint your lobby for you.  The colors you choose are important. Green, brown, grey, and beige can help keep your clients calm, which is helpful if they have to wait a long time for you. You can also hang paintings to add more color. The painting contractor can likely help you choose the best colors.

Size

If your lobby is currently small and cramped, consider having the contractor increase the size of it for you. This will allow your clients to feel much more comfortable while they are waiting. The size you choose will depend on the size of your business, and how many clients you see on a regular basis.  You should also have enough space just in case there is a time when a lot of clients will be visiting on the same day.  There should be room to put a coffee area for the clients. Consider the size of the reception desk to ensure there is adequate space between it and the chairs in the waiting area.

Something you will have to consider is standards and codes you have to follow when you design your lobby. The contractor you work with, such as Claggett & Sons Inc, should know the minimum requirements you have to follow.

A Shed for Dad

I grew up on a small cattle ranch in the southern United States. My dad has been a cowboy all of my life. He spends most of his time outdoors. For years, he didn’t have anywhere to store his equipment such as hay string, troughs, and other items. One spring, my family members decided to give dad something special, a outdoor shed of his own. Now, he has a place to neatly store all of his ranch related articles. If you’re searching for the perfect Father’s Day gift this year, consider surprising your dad with an outdoor shed. On this blog, you will discover how to work with a general contractor to build your father the shed of his dreams.
